Project Update: Mt Lawley Additions and Alterations
Project Update – Mount Lawley Residence
April 2025
We’re pleased to share that the Mount Lawley additions and alterations project is progressing well. Framing has now been completed across both the new volumes and the alterations to the existing structure. This milestone marks a significant step forward in realising the vision for a seamless blend of old and new.
In parallel, new tiling has been installed to both the original residence and the contemporary additions, reinforcing the cohesive material palette and elevating the tactile quality of the spaces. These works are key to maintaining the home's charming character while introducing fresh elements that support the lifestyle of a vibrant young family.
The generous volumes extending toward the North West have begun to take shape beautifully, framing the future alfresco areas and backyard with intention. These spaces will provide an ideal setting for family life, balancing privacy and openness thanks to the considered use of the adjacent high wall.
We’re particularly excited to see the mezzanine volume coming together – a clever, dual-purpose space that will soon serve as both a children’s playroom and a tranquil home office, perfectly tailored to the family’s evolving needs.
With the massing carefully managed to respect the scale and presence of the original house, the project continues to embody our core design principle: enhancing liveability through thoughtful, context-sensitive design.
